DL hardware is the gear for direct-lung vaping: devices and parts built to run low-resistance coils at higher power, producing large amounts of vapour from low-nicotine liquid. In practice this shelf is mostly the consumables and power that keep a DL setup going: sub-ohm pods and cartridges, rebuildable mesh and cotton, 18650 batteries and chargers.
Resistance is the first filter. Anything below 1.0Ω is sub-ohm and counts as DL. The XROS 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω pods, the OXVA VPrime 0.4Ω cartridges and the Geekvape ZX 0.17Ω mesh all sit here. Lower resistance means more power, more vapour, more liquid used per puff, and a shorter coil life. Pair sub-ohm hardware with 2mg to 6mg freebase liquids from the DL Liquids section; a 40mg salt in a 0.4Ω pod is a mistake you only make once.
Device compatibility. Pods and cartridges are model-specific. Read the product name carefully: “XROS 4 & PRO ONLY” on the 0.4Ω pod means it will not seat in older XROS models. OXVA VPrime cartridges fit the VPrime only. If you own a rebuildable, the ZX mesh set is a coil you build yourself and needs wicking cotton and basic tools.
Batteries and chargers. External 18650 cells (Golisi S26 at R339 for two, G30 set at R300) power mods that do not have a built-in battery. Buy a matched pair from a known brand, never loose unbranded cells, and charge them in a dedicated charger (Golisi i4 at R449) rather than through the mod where possible. Inspect wraps for tears before every use.
