The Bewolk DTL Pod is a South African prefilled pod system built for direct-lung vaping at low nicotine. Despite the category name, these are not one-piece disposables: you buy the rechargeable battery once (R165) and replace the prefilled 12ml pod (R99) when it runs out. Every pod is 4mg/ml freebase nicotine, which is the lowest strength of any prefilled system on this site and closer to what sub-ohm tank users mix for themselves than to the 20mg to 50mg salts in most pods and disposables. Nicotine strength is a specification, not a recommendation; this system suits people who already vape low-strength freebase liquid on direct-lung hardware.
Why this instead of a disposable or a tank
At R99 for 12ml the pod works out to about R8.25 per millilitre of ready-to-vape liquid, which is more than mixing your own but far less hassle than a tank and coils, and cheaper per ml than any high-strength disposable. The battery is a one-time cost. If you want a direct-lung draw without carrying a mod and bottle, this is the format; if you use a mouth-to-lung pod or a high-nicotine disposable, the 4mg strength and airy draw will feel very different.
Flavours and stock
Eight pod flavours are catalogued: Summer Splash, Jooseberry, Mango Pineapple, Granadilla Yogo Zip, Tiki Twist, Wicks, Strawberry Swirl and Strawberry Lychee. At the time of writing the battery is well stocked (31 units) but pods are uneven: Granadilla Yogo Zip has 26, Summer Splash and Tiki Twist 4 each, Mango Pineapple and Strawberry Lychee 2, Strawberry Swirl 1, and Jooseberry and Wicks are out. Check the pod you want before buying the battery.
Practical notes
Pods are sealed and only fit the Bewolk DTL battery. Store them upright and out of heat. Dispose of used pods through e-waste channels where possible.
