MTL Liquid

MTL liquid is freebase nicotine e-liquid mixed for mouth-to-lung devices: higher PG, typically 50/50, at strengths from 6mg to 18mg, in 30ml or 60ml bottles. It is the older style of pod liquid, from before nicotine salts took over, and it still has a following among people who prefer the sharper throat feel of freebase or who vape a tobacco or dessert profile at moderate strength.

Freebase vs salt at the same number. A 12mg freebase liquid and a 12mg salt liquid contain the same nicotine but feel very different: freebase is noticeably harsher in the throat at the same strength. That is why freebase MTL liquids top out around 18mg while salts run to 50mg. If you are moving from a 20mg salt, a 12mg freebase is closer in feel than the numbers suggest. Strength figures are specifications; ADVapes does not recommend one over another.

Bottle and ratio. Check the VG/PG ratio on the product page. 50/50 wicks well in small MTL coils; a 70/30 liquid is thicker and belongs in a sub-ohm tank, whatever the strength says. 30ml is the standard MTL bottle; a 60ml at 18mg is a large commitment to one flavour.

Price. The range is wide: Binjai at R139 for 30ml (about R4.60 per millilitre) up to Liqua at R339 (R11 per millilitre), with Cosmic Dropz at R219 in the middle. Price tracks the brand’s origin and marketing more than the liquid; the ingredient list is the same four components.

Stock reality. This is a shrinking shelf. Cosmic Dropz Cola Ice Cold 12mg and Binjai Honeydew Dash 12mg are in stock; Liqua Traditional Tobacco is out; several legacy TKO, Smashd and Flavormonks lines are discontinued and no longer available. If you want a specific flavour, check the product page first.
