VOOPOO PNP Coils Explained: Which Resistance Should You Buy? (South Africa)

Byyahya88

VOOPOO’s PNP coil system powers many of its most popular pod kits, but with so many resistances and sub-series it is easy to buy the wrong one. This guide explains what PNP coils are, which devices use them, and exactly which resistance to choose for your style of vaping. Everything below is genuine stock at ADVapes.

What are VOOPOO PNP coils?

PNP is VOOPOO’s universal coil platform, used across the Drag, Vinci, Argus and VMate pod kits. The coils press-and-play (PNP) into the pod, so once you know your device takes PNP coils, you can pick any compatible resistance. The current line is the PNP X series; older kits use the original PNP (M, TW, DW, RBA) coils.

Resistance guide: MTL vs RDL vs DTL

The number on the coil (in ohms, Ω) sets the draw style:

  • 0.8Ω — MTL (mouth-to-lung): tighter, cigarette-like draw, best with higher-nicotine salts. PNP X 0.8 5-Pack
  • 0.6Ω — loose MTL / restricted DTL: the most popular all-rounder for nic salts. PNP X 0.6 5-Pack
  • 0.3Ω — restricted DTL: warmer, airier draw with more vapour. PNP X 0.3 5-Pack
  • 0.2Ω — DTL: bigger clouds and flavour, use with 3–6mg freebase. PNP X 0.2 5-Pack
  • 0.15Ω — full DTL: maximum vapour and airflow for cloud chasers. PNP X 0.15 5-Pack

Older PNP series (M, TW, DW & RBA)

If your kit predates the PNP X coils, ADVapes also stocks the original range: PNP M2 0.6, PNP TW15 0.15, PNP TW20 0.2, PNP DW60 0.6, PNP DW80 0.8 and the rebuildable PNP-RBA.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which PNP coil fits my device?

Any VOOPOO kit that uses PNP pods (Drag, Vinci, Argus, VMate) takes PNP coils. Check whether your kit uses the newer PNP X or the original PNP coils.

Which PNP coil is best for nic salts?

The 0.6Ω or 0.8Ω coils give a tighter, MTL-style draw that suits higher-strength nic salts.

How long does a PNP coil last?

Typically one to two weeks, depending on usage and e-liquid. Prime a new coil and let it sit for a few minutes before vaping to avoid dry hits.
